Where a Lifelong Love of Cats Became a Dream
My love for cats began long before Sweet Home Alabama Bengals was ever created. As a little girl, I would visit the farm where my grandfather worked milking cows, and I would spend my time running around playing with the kittens. Those early memories created a connection with cats that has stayed with me throughout my life.
Over the years, that love grew into a passion for helping cats in need. I have rescued and rehabilitated many feral cats, learning the importance of patience, trust, and compassion when building a relationship with an animal. I currently share my home with four rescued cats who will always be cherished members of our family.
I have always been drawn to things that are unique, one-of-a-kind, and a little different. In many ways, I see those qualities reflected in myself. That same appreciation for individuality is what drew me to the Bengal breed.
Bengals are unlike any other breed. Their exotic beauty, incredible intelligence, athletic nature, and unforgettable markings make them truly extraordinary. While owning a leopard may only be a dream, the Bengal offers the closest legal connection to that breathtaking wild beauty while still being a loving companion.
At Sweet Home Alabama Bengals, our goal is to preserve the qualities that first captured our hearts—the Asian leopard-inspired appearance, bold rosettes, striking coats, and exceptional health—while raising Bengals that become cherished members of their forever families.
Our Family
At Sweet Home Alabama Bengals, our cattery is truly a family effort. Our Bengals are raised right in our home, surrounded by the people who love them, and every member of our family plays a special role in their lives.
My husband, Woody, has been my biggest supporter from the very beginning. He has encouraged my dream of building Sweet Home Alabama Bengals and is always there to lend a helping hand wherever he's needed. His support has meant so much to me throughout this journey.
Our daughter, Harper Ella, is my little helper and shares my love for our Bengals. Whether she's feeding them, playing with them, helping with litter boxes, or simply spending time cuddling them, she loves being involved. Watching her form her own relationships with the cats has become such a special part of our journey.
Because our kittens grow up in our home, they experience the everyday sights, sounds, and interactions of family life from the very beginning. We believe this helps them develop into confident, well-socialized companions.
To us, our Bengals are never "just breeding cats." They are cherished members of our family first. Every pairing is thoughtfully planned, every kitten is raised with care, and every family who welcomes one of our kittens becomes part of the Sweet Home Alabama Bengals family.
